Leaving a Legacy

A legacy is the best way to support us

At some point in our lives we all need to make a will to protect the future of our family and loved ones. A legacy or bequest left to BaanGerda is a way to show your concern and support for the disadvantaged AIDS orphans in Thailand. It can be a specific amount of money, possessions from your estate or a percentage of your total estate. It will give us the confidence to plan ahead and provide for our children.

Your gift will change many young lives

A legal advisor or solicitor will help you prepare or amend an existing will. Our registered address is 131/3, Chaeng Wattana Rd., Soi 13, Bangkok 10210, Thailand. You will need to use our legal title, Children's Rights Foundation.

How to leave a legacy

There are several different types of legacy that you can make. A Pecuniary bequest is when you leave a specified amount of money to a person or charity, and a Residuary bequest is when you leave some or all of what is left over to a person or charity after all your other legacies are made.

To help you make the legacy, we recommend you use the following wording; "I give and bequeath to The Children's Rights Foundation, 131/3, Chaeng Wattana Rd., Soi 13, Bangkok 10210, Thailand, Registered Charity Number 143/235/80031 (Germany), or 375/2536 (Thailand) the sum of (enter amount or the percentage of the residue of your estate) to be used for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of their treasurer or other proper officer shall be a full and sufficient discharge."

If you intend to leave a legacy to BaanGerda, it would be of great help if you could let us know by completing and sending the pledge form. It's not essential and is in no way legally binding, but it allows us to plan ahead and to be able to recognize your contribution.
